TRAVIS GRABER
Athletic Director & Assistant Principal
Wamego USD 320
Travis Graber serves as both assistant principal and athletic director, transforming Wamego’s athletics and activities into a true cornerstone of character-building and community pride. Under his leadership, Wamego High School’s cross country program successfully hosted the KSHSAA 4A, 2A, and 1A State Meet in 2023, a major effort that showcased the school, rallied volunteers, and helped fuel a “stellar season” of strong performances. Through his One Wamego Strategic Athletic Plan, he mentors coaches and student-athletes around shared values of teamwork and perseverance, contributing to state championships and runner-up finishes in softball, golf, cross country, and football while organizing large-scale community service efforts that involve hundreds of athletes.
A former small-college football coach, Travis is known for his unmatched work ethic—often the last to leave events, literally cleaning alongside custodians—and for leading in a way that keeps students at the center of every decision.
