Steven Schiesel leads Sterling Heights athletics with a student-first philosophy, holding every team, coach, and athlete to the same high standard regardless of sport, role, or record. He has modernized the program by implementing a true uniform rotation so every varsity team now competes in up-to-date gear, and by securing a streaming service that makes Stallion athletics more accessible to families and the wider community. Steven also created an Athlete of the Week program that recognizes students from all sports—sideline cheer, golf, bowling, dance, football, soccer, basketball, and more—ensuring every athlete feels seen and celebrated. His decision to relaunch and run the school store not only deepened daily relationships with students and staff, but also generated new funding that flows directly back into athletics and staff appreciation. Guided by compassion and a strong sense of responsibility, Steven is driven to do what’s best for his student-athletes and programs every single day.
