Center Grove High School

Joe Bronkella is a student- and community-first athletic director whose leadership has strengthened programs at every level, from middle school to high school. At his previous district, he partnered with community members, donors, and the school corporation to update every athletic facility after more than 20 years without upgrades, dramatically improving the experience for athletes and families.

At Center Grove, he has expanded community involvement through multiple parent groups and large K–12 events, while working closely with the middle school to build true vertical alignment that didn’t exist before. Known for “rolling up his sleeves,” Joe is just as willing to do hands-on work as he is to represent his department at state and national conferences. His willingness to live apart from his family so his children could finish high school where they started reflects the level of sacrifice and commitment he brings to every role.
