Cory has transformed the middle school athletics program, creating opportunities for success on the court and field while fostering a culture of growth and celebration. Under his leadership, the middle school softball team, which did not exist four years ago, achieved 4th place in the state this year, reflecting his commitment to quality coaching, building community, and celebrating victories at every level. His efforts have strengthened school spirit and increased student engagement across programs.

Cory emphasizes equity and student involvement, encouraging athletes to participate in fine arts, student council, and other school activities. He has modernized athletic operations through livestreaming games and using Hudl to showcase athletes to college coaches, and he has rebranded school facilities to highlight team and individual accomplishments. Beyond his school, Cory contributes as a member of the Illinois High School Association Equity Committee and serves on state-level committees for Illinois High School Soccer, demonstrating leadership and dedication to the broader athletic community.
