Steve is a dedicated Athletic Director who has returned to his hometown after a decade of gaining experience in athletics, physical education, and health, committed to making a lasting impact on his community. At his previous district in Pulaski, he revitalized the boys soccer program, bringing it back from inactivity to record participation, while mentoring first-year coaches and strengthening staff development. In Auburn, he engages deeply with the community—attending nearly every athletic event, serving on the YMCA board, and revitalizing the sports booster club—while ensuring every coach and student feels heard and supported. Steve meets with coaches directly to discuss program goals and vision, a first for the district, and provides guidance to student-athletes facing challenges both academically and athletically. His journey has included personal hardship, including the loss of multiple family members early in his career, yet he persevered, finding purpose and passion in supporting students, staff, and the broader school community, consistently going above and beyond to elevate every program he touches.
