He empowers every individual he works with, championing inclusion, equity, and pride through initiatives such as Peekskill’s shared senior night tradition, impactful anti-bullying campaigns, and a celebrated diversity project that honored the many backgrounds within the athletic program—embracing the motto, “Strength lies in our differences, not our similarities.”

Under Austin’s leadership, a program that struggled for a decade rose to prominence by embracing his process-driven philosophy rather than chasing end results. His energy sparked complete buy-in from coaches, student-athletes, administrators, and the entire community, creating a unified belief in growth and excellence.
