Bill Schultz is being nominated for his tireless, hands-on leadership and the steady way he elevates every program at Smyrna. He is a constant presence across sports, often attending multiple events in a day and adjusting building logistics to support coaches’ practice needs and student-athlete success. Schultz strengthens community through “Winter Harvest,” a toy-drive competition where teams collect, wrap, and donate gifts to families in need, reinforcing service as part of the athletics culture. He also invests in long-term program health by hiring coaches who build strong team identities and by meeting monthly with a student-athlete group to promote leadership, problem-solving, and positive team environments. Even behind the scenes, he consistently chooses the extra hours that make Smyrna athletics feel supported, organized, and special.
