Shawn Patil
Coach Shawn Patil is a proud native of Pittsburgh, PA. He received his diploma at Mckeesport Area School District. While in high school, he competed in both football and baseball, earning a football scholarship to California University of Pennsylvania. While majoring in education, he played for 4 years before medically ending his football career. During his last year in college, he took his experience, knowledge, and abilities to a local high school to coach.
Coach Patil started coaching track at Brownsville High School. He was the strength/conditioning and jumpers coach for 3 years before taking a new opportunity as a baseball head coach at his alma mater. Soon after, Coach Patil moved to North Carolina where he started his teaching career as a 3rd grade teacher. 5 years later, he entered West Cary MS where he connected with Coach Gentry and started coaching football and then track. 3 years later, Coach Patil entered the football scene. Shortly after a period at Mills Park MS, Coach Patil moved to Green Level HS and has been here since.
With over a decade of football experience, Coach Patil hopes to join the pioneers of womenβs flag football. His goal is to help support and lead the growth of the sport. He plans to do that through fostering positive relationships, nurturing a high-energy and competitive environment, and meeting the other needs of the program.
