TJ Poland
T.J. Poland is originally from Ava, New York where he attended Adirondack High School. During his high school career, Poland captained the soccer and basketball teams and was selected for the all-conference team for both sports. For his undergraduate degree, he attended SUNY Potsdam where he dual-majored in education and history (B.A.). He then attended SUNY Cortland where he received his Master’s degree in Literacy (M.S.).
Prior to beginning his career as an educator and coach at Green Level High School, Poland spent the previous 8 years in the field as a teacher and coach at Mills Park Middle School. At Mills Park Middle School, T.J. Poland coached the boy’s soccer team, girl’s soccer team, and the girl’s basketball team. During his tenure, he led each respective team to multiple conference championships and record breaking achievements.
At Green Level High School, Poland embarked on his high school coaching journey with the Junior Varsity Women’s basketball team. He led the team to a conference championship in their inaugural season with an overall record of 14-1 and an undefeated season within their conference. In his first season as the Junior Varsity Men’s soccer coach, the team finished with an overall record of 15-3-3 and the program’s first Wake County Cup championship.
Coach Poland is both excited and motivated to bring his experience and expertise to the Women’s Varsity Soccer program.
