Ed moved to Cary in 2010 from Chicago, Illinois. Ed started wrestling in elementary school and ended his competitive career in high school. Although he wasn’t competing he remained involved with the wrestling community through volunteer activities and supporting his high school teammate who went on to win the Pan Am Games, and an Olympic qualifier at 96 kg. He attended DePaul University with a major in Business Administration with a Focus on Leadership. 

Ed leads a boutique consulting firm that designs leadership and professional development curriculums for global organizations. He returned to the sport in 2023, as the Head Coach of the Green Level Wrestling program where he shared his passion for connecting the discipline of wrestling to the student athlete experience. 

He enjoys spending time traveling, golfing, and beach trips with Amy (Wife), Brianna, Bella (GLHS Class of ‘23), and Isaiah (GLHS Class of ‘25).

Fun Fact - Coach Ross is often asked about the striking resemblance to a famous golfer.
