Rob Kidder

Rob Kidder was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, and has been a lifelong Husker fan. Rob started playing golf when he was 12. He also played football, baseball, and a lot of basketball growing up. During his high school years, he coached little league baseball and a girl’s church basketball team. He also played church league basketball along with playing recreational golf.

After graduating from UCF in 1979 with a business management degree Rob embarked on a 45 year career in the Electrical Industry. The Industry afforded Rob numerous opportunities to play golf at some renowned courses like Whistling Straights and Atlanta Athletic Club along with attending the Masters in 1999. During his career, he was also president of the Electrical Golf Association. He set up and ran over 60 golf tournaments before he passed on the mantle.

In 1982, he married Janine and she quickly became a great golf partner. She was not going to be a golf widow so he got her professional lessons and she became quite an accomplished player. As he and Janine started building a family they continued to play golf. They joined Green Valley Country Club in Clermont, Florida and before they left Rob had won 3 Club Championships. He has made 3 Hole-in Ones in his lifetime, with 2 coming in December of 1999. He is still looking for his fourth.

Rob and Janine have a good friend that was the volunteer tournament chairman of the Arnold Palmer Invitational and in the early 2000’s and he got them both involved in volunteering. Rob has been able to volunteer for 14 years and Janine for 18 years. For the last 5 years, Rob has been Hole Captain on Hole 17 at Bay Hill. For 1 week a year, he possibly has the most beautiful office view you could imagine. He and Janine have also volunteered at the LPGA Tournament of Champions the last couple of years. Rob and Janine love volunteering and giving back to the communities these tournaments support. They have made lifelong friendships with many of their fellow volunteers.

Rob especially treasures the personal interactions he has had over the years with the pros, patrons, and fellow volunteers.Rob and Janine have 2 daughters and 5 Grandchildren. They are all involved in various sports and he loves attending their games and competitions. Rob loves golf and recently picked up pickleball and enjoys playing when he can.

Rob is in his 2nd year of coaching at Green Level. His is extremely proud of his players achievements in his 1st year. The women's golf team won the 2024 SWAC Championship and went on to compete at the state championship as a team. The men's team finished 3rd in the conference and earned spot as a team to compete at states at Pinehurst #2 and #8.
