Brett is a DCHS graduate from the class of 2026. He is the son of Amy and Brandon Huffman, and was coached by Ryan Long.

Brett competed in football and baseball as an Oracle. After graduation he attended Southeastern Community College in Iowa to play baseball and continue his studies. He earned his distinction on the Wall of Fame by becoming just the 4th Delphi player to be selected to the 2026 North South All-star game, and being selected to the 1st team IBCA All-State Team twice in 2024 and 2026 (Honorable Mention 2025).

Brett was a member of the 2023 Semi-State Finals Team, a 4 year starter for the Oracles in center field where he was the heart of the defense, and served as a valuable left handed pitcher with a career ERA of 2.49 notching 136 Ks in 32 appearances.

He ended his career with his name near the top of many offensive statistical categories including single season stolen bases tied for first with 36 (2026), tied for second in single season home runs with 9 (2026), and second and third in single season runs scored with 48 (2026) and 47 (2026).
