Biography:
Heath Wilson, a 1999 graduate of Unity High School, left a mark on the school’s athletic program through his outstanding performance in football, basketball, and track. A true multi-sport athlete, Wilson was a four-year letter earner in football and served as team captain, also earning News-Gazette Player of the Week, Channel 15 Athlete of the Week, First Team All Conference (three time unanimous), All Area First Team and All State Honorable Mention honors during his high school career.Over his career, Wilson had a total of 4,614 yards, including an incredible 2,080 rushing yards during the 1998 season alone. With 571 career rushing attempts and 336 total points scored, he established himself as one of the top performers in Unity's football history.Following high school, Wilson continued his athletic career at Eureka College, where he played both football and golf.Wilson has since dedicated more than two decades to coaching high school football. Today, he serves as the head varsity football and baseball coach at Villa Grove High School, where he continues to inspire young athletes with the same drive and determination that defined his own playing days.
