My name is Jake Birdsong and I’m honored and ecstatic to be named the new Head Boys Basketball Coach at Chattahoochee High School. Chattahoochee has such an impressive academic and athletic standard that students are held to, and I feel very fortunate to join this respected community.

For the past 2 years I’ve served as an assistant coach at Centennial High School, I’ve led the offensive game planning, scouting reports, and film analysis. In the 2024-2025 season we finished 3rd place in a highly competitive region, had 2 players earn All-Region first team honors, and three players went on to sign to play college basketball at the next level. Prior to Centennial, I coached for 3 years at St. Francis High School in Alpharetta. I’m fortunate to have gained JV coaching experience, and playoff experience making it to the final 4 and elite 8. I also played basketball at Berry College from 2016-2020.

I’m extremely passionate about student-athlete development on and off the court and I’m committed to building tough, high-character, and selfless teams at Chattahoochee.

My wife Stacee and I live in Alpharetta and can’t wait to meet and join the Hooch family!

Go Cougars!
