Andrew Warnes ('26)

Andrew Warnes, Unity class of 2016, made significant contributions to both the Track and Cross-Country programs, earning 7 varsity letters, setting 4 school records, and being part of two state championship teams.

During his 3 seasons in Cross-Country, Andrew earned All-Conference each year and was recognized as a two-time state medalist. In the 2015 State Meet, he finished second place overall to help the team earn its first-ever Cross-Country State Championship and produce the lowest team score of 30 points in Class 1A State Meet history. That same year, Andrew set the school record for the fastest Cross-Country time of 14:44 and held the fastest time of any Unity Cross-Country runner on 8 different courses.

Andrew was a seven-time state medalist in track, competing in the 4x800, 800, 1600, and 4x400. At the 2015 State Track Meet, his performance running the anchor leg of the 4x800 sealed a first-place finish, setting a school record time of 7:59.63 and helping the team to earn its first-ever State Championship. During the 2016 season, Andrew set the school record in the 1600 with a time of 4:19.90 and was part of the 4x400 relay, setting a school record time of 3:21.90.
