Claire Barber earned her Emerald Gator Award after an outstanding basketball career defined by elite scoring, record-setting performances, and consistent leadership as a four-year varsity starter and team captain. As one of the most accomplished players in program history, Barber served as the primary offensive leader for Green Level while establishing multiple school and conference records.

Throughout her career, Barber was the focal point of the Green Level offense, known for her scoring ability, three-point shooting, and all-around production. She consistently ranked among the top performers in North Carolina’s 8A classification and delivered multiple standout performances in conference and postseason play. She ranks 9th in NCHSAA state history in 3-point baskets made.

Highlights & Achievements:

• All-time Green Level single-season leader in 3-pointers made (87 made threes in 2025–26 season), ranking among the top shooters in North Carolina

• 2026 Quad City 7 Women's Basketball Player of The Year

• Holds school records for most points in a career (1478), most points in a season (530), most points in a game (37), and most 3-point baskets made in a career (278).

• 114 career varsity games played, averaging 12.9 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.7 steals per game in her career

• Four-year varsity starter and team captain, finishing her career as one of the most productive and influential players in Green Level girls basketball history
