"Jamier Rose from Noble has been named the 2024-25 Maine Player of the Year. The 5-foot-11 senior guard has been instrumental in leading the Knights to a commendable 21-4 record and a trip to the Class A state semifinals. Throughout the season, Rose averaged 19.3 points, 8.9 rebounds, 8.3 assists, and 5.1 steals per game, showcasing an impressive shooting percentage of 42.3 from the field. In a notable victory over Deering (Portland) in December, Rose delivered an outstanding performance, tallying 34 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists, and during this game, he crossed the 1,000 career points milestone. Additionally, Rose excelled as a quarterback in football during his senior year, completing 105 of 169 passes for 1,554 yards and 18 touchdowns, all while only throwing three interceptions. He rushed for an impressive 958 yards and contributed another 13 touchdowns, earning the prestigious James F. Fitzpatrick Trophy awarded to the top senior football player in the state. Rose is the first athlete in the state of Maine to win both awards in the same academic calendar"
