'A new Maine student athlete has been named the winner of the state's most prestigious high school football award. The James J. Fitzpatrick Trophy is given annually to the state's top senior high school football player. Hundreds of fans and family members filled the Holiday Inn by the Bay. Once the envelope was opened, Noble's outstanding quarterback and student athlete Jamier Rose was named this year’s Fitzpatrick Trophy Award winner, joining an elite fraternity of Maine high school football greats.“It hasn't really hit me yet. 'Whether Noble needed a key play via the pass, run or on defense, the two-way athlete was superb in 2024. Rose on offense completed 105-of-169 passes for 1,518 yards and 19 scores. The quarterback also carried the ball 116 times for 938 yards and 13 scores. On defense, Rose at free safety tallied 60 tackles, 34 solo, a fumble recovery and four interceptions.' - Si.com
