Set Designer/ Construction

John Green is a 1996 graduate of Hatboro Horsham High School.  John majored in History at Penn State University and earned a Bachelor of Art in 2000.  Following graduation, he studied secondary education at West Chester University where he earned his teacher certification in 2001. He has spent the last decade or so teaching in the Philadelphia School District. 

John joined the William Tennent Drama & Musical team in 2024 to help design and build sets for their productions.  He has two theater kids in the district so he has a vested interest in helping Mrs Hoban, a lifelong friend, and the team.  He truly enjoys working with the stage crew and cast during rehearsals and performances!  Building and creating has been a lifelong passion of John, mixed with his education background has made John a nice fit for the William Tennent drama and musical program.

When John is not building sets, teaching, or parenting two amazing theater kids, he is an active Civil War reenactor and racing fan. His wonderful wife, Beth and their sweet dogs and cats (and the ones they foster), keep him busy as well.
