CIVITAS means a body of citizens who share responsibility, a common purpose, and a sense of community. All applicants should possess civic engagement in the school or community and a focus on Social Studies. The society seeks to encourage the creation of young citizens who are effective and competent members of our democratic society. Meetings will be held regularly for the accomplishment of these goals as well as community service activities which we see as key to good citizenship and will host occasional guest speakers.
