Michaeltore Smith is the first head coach of Sierra Canyon's girls flag football team, which will kick off its inaugural season in August 2026. He brings a proven record of accomplishment in building girls' flag football programs from the ground up and coaching college-bound student athletes.

Before coming to Sierra Canyon, Smith led Adolfo Camarillo High School’s nationally recognized girls’ flag football team. In 2025, he led the Scorpions to a 25-3 record and their second consecutive Coastal Canyon League title, finishing No. 5 in California and No. 16 in the nation. Smith's extensive experience includes Co-Head Coach for UCLA Women’s Club Flag Football, Associate Head Coach for Ventura College Women’s Flag Football, and Gold Medal Coach at the USA Football Select Bowl.

Smith excels at developing young athletes and creating winning cultures. He continues to help girls flag football become the fastest-growing female sport in California, where it ranks eighth overall in girls' sports participation with more than 600 high schools taking part statewide.
