Head Coach Jon Ellinghouse has built one of the premier high school football programs in the nation. Under his leadership starting in 2007, he has transformed Sierra Canyon from an 8-man team into a nationally recognized powerhouse.

During his tenure, Ellinghouse has averaged more than 10 wins per season while guiding the Trailblazers to the CIF Southern Section Semifinals or beyond in the majority of his seasons. His championship pedigree includes a perfect 16–0 season and CIF State title in 2016 and an undefeated 15–0 state championship team in 2011—two of the most dominant seasons in program history.

Most impressively, Coach Ellinghouse has developed elite talent with players advancing to top college programs across the country, including USC, UCLA, Stanford, Michigan, Notre Dame, and numerous Ivy League schools, reflecting his commitment to both athletic and academic success.
