Head Coach Awan Diles oversees Sierra Canyon’s Coed Track and Field program, guiding student‑athletes through rigorous training, competitive meets, and personal growth. He plays a central role in preparing runners, sprinters, hurdlers, jumpers, and throwers to compete at the highest levels within the Mission League and CIF Southern Section spectrum of competition.  

Sierra Canyon’s runners and field competitors have posted strong performances at league prelims, invitationals, and sectional meets each season, reflecting the program's focus on building consistency and competitiveness across all disciplines—from short sprints to distance events and field challenges. Most recently, the program has produced track star Hendrix Hart ’26 (University of Tennessee) and field competitor Jori Glover ’26 (Hampton University).

Beyond the stopwatch and tape measure, Coach Diles is known for his mentorship, encouraging his athletes to balance the demands of academics, athletics, and life with resilience and pride. His influence has helped develop a culture where athletes push themselves to reach new heights while supporting their teammates with Trailblazer spirit.
