Mac Murphy

Class of 2025

Mac Murphy distinguished himself as one of the most accomplished multi-sport student-athletes in RJ Reynolds history, excelling in both lacrosse and football throughout his high school career.

A four-year starter in boys lacrosse, Mac played a key role in leading the Demons to four consecutive conference championships. His individual honors reflect his consistent dominance on the field—earning All-Conference recognition in 2022, followed by All-Conference, 2nd Team All-Region, and 3rd Team All-State honors in 2023. In 2024, he elevated his performance further with All-Conference, All-Region, and 2nd Team All-State selections. His senior season culminated with being named the Conference Defensive Player of the Year in 2025.

In addition to his success in lacrosse, Mac was a three-year varsity starter in football, earning All-Conference honors in both 2023 and 2024.

Mac’s leadership, toughness, and consistency across multiple sports have left a lasting impact on RJ Reynolds Athletics. He will continued his academic and athletic career playing lacrosse at Lenoir-Rhyne University.

Mac's older sister Millie was Female Athlete of the Year in 2021 as a soccer player for the Demons.
