Class of 2024

Chandler Welsh distinguished herself as one of the most accomplished distance runners in RJ Reynolds history, excelling in both cross country and track and field.

In cross country, Chandler earned All-Conference and All-Region honors in both 2020 and 2021, establishing herself early as one of the top runners in the area. She elevated her performance in 2022, earning Conference Runner of the Year honors along with All-Region and All-State recognition. In 2024, she once again claimed Conference Runner of the Year while adding All-Region and All-State honors to cap off an outstanding career.

Chandler’s success extended into track and field, where she consistently performed at a high level across multiple seasons. In 2022, she earned All-Conference honors in outdoor track. In 2023, she was recognized as All-State in indoor track and All-Region in outdoor track. She concluded her senior year in 2024 with All-Conference and All-Region honors in outdoor track.

Chandler’s dedication, consistency, and excellence in distance running have left a lasting legacy at RJ Reynolds. She continued her academic and athletic career running cross country at NC State University.
