Chandler Borton

Class of 2013

Chandler Borton stands as one of the most accomplished and versatile athletes in RJ Reynolds history, excelling across five sports during her high school career.

A five-sport athlete—field hockey, cross country, indoor track, outdoor track, and lacrosse—Chandler earned an impressive 16 varsity letters while serving as a team captain in cross country, field hockey, and lacrosse. In field hockey, she was a three-time All-State selection, while also earning All-Southeast Region honors and All-America consideration.

Her success extended to distance running, where she was a state qualifier and two-time All-Region performer in cross country, while also holding the school record in the 5K. In track and field, she earned All-State honors in the 1600-meter run and was a Central Piedmont Conference champion in both the 800-meter and 1600-meter events. She also set school records in the 1600-meter and 3200-meter runs, as well as contributing to a record-setting distance medley relay.

On the lacrosse field, Chandler was a three-time All-Conference selection and was named Central Piedmont Conference Player of the Year, further highlighting her impact across multiple sports.

Chandler’s ability to lead and excel across a wide range of sports places her among the most distinguished athletes in RJ Reynolds history. She continued her academic and athletic career at Wake Forest University, where she initially competed in field hockey before transitioning to cross country and track. She competed for three years and graduated with top honors.
