Jack Riazzi
Class of 2014
Jack Riazzi was a central figure in one of the most successful eras of RJ Reynolds tennis, contributing to championship teams while earning top individual honors along the way.
He was part of the Demons’ three consecutive NCHSAA Dual Team State Championships from 2010–2012, joining the program as a freshman during the final two titles in 2011 and 2012. He later helped lead the team to state runner-up finishes in 2013 and 2014. In 2012, Jack was named MVP of the State Championship match, underscoring his impact on the biggest stage. He was also a member of the 2011 team that finished ranked #3 in the nation by the National High School Tennis Association.
Individually, Jack’s accomplishments were equally impressive. As a freshman in 2011, he and partner Paul Yamane finished as NCHSAA Doubles State Runners-Up, earning All-Region and All-State recognition. The duo returned in 2013 to capture the NCHSAA Doubles State Championship.
Over the course of his career, Jack earned All-Conference, All-Region, and All-State honors each year, while also being named Conference Player of the Year in 2014. He was additionally recognized as an NC Tar Heel Qualifier and NC Spring State Closed Doubles Champion.
Jack concluded his high school career with an outstanding combined record of 111–10, including marks of 64–5 in singles and 49–5 in doubles, reflecting his consistency and dominance over four seasons.
Jack’s contributions to both team success and individual achievement helped define a championship-level standard for RJ Reynolds tennis. He continued his tennis career at Davidson College.
