Aldair Anica-Hernandez

Class of 2020

Aldair Anica-Hernandez played a pivotal role in one of the most memorable seasons in RJ Reynolds soccer history, combining individual excellence with team success at the highest level.

In the fall of 2019, Aldair helped lead the Demons to the NCHSAA State Championship match—the program’s first appearance in 33 years. The team finished as state runner-up, falling 2–0 to Wake Forest High School. His performance that season earned him Conference Offensive Player of the Year honors, along with All-Region, All-State, and All-Mid-Atlantic recognition.

Aldair had already established himself as a top player prior to that run, earning All-Conference and All-Region honors in 2018 and continuing to elevate his game into his senior season.

His ability to impact the game at a high level and lead during a historic season cemented his legacy within the program. Aldair continued his soccer career at Chowan University.
