Played 4 years of basketball and baseball and 1 year of football at CHS. In basketball, he scored 1,147 points, with his 1000th point on January 11th, 2002. During his senior year, Joe averaged 20 points per game, shooting 49% from the field. He was named team MVP 3 times and selected 1st Team MAC-8 Conference, 1st Team Lorain County, and 1st Team Northeast District. In 2001, Joe was named Special Mention All Ohio and Honorable Mention All Ohio in 2002. Joe became the Raiders top pitcher in 2001 and earned 2nd Team MAC-8 Conference. In 2002, he was selected 1st Team MAC-8 conference, Team MVP, and Special Mention All Ohio. Joe plahed baseball at Cuyahoga Community College and D-1 Campbell University of North Carolina.
