2017 1992 Track High Jump

Was a member of the CHS Varsity track team for 4 years as a sprinter and long jumper, specializing in the 100 & 200 meter dash and the 4x100 & 4x200 relay teams. In 1991, she qualified for the State finals in the 100 meter dash where she placed 9th. In 1992, Sandy again qualified for the State finals by winning the District & Regional meets in 3 individual events - the long jump, 100 meter dash, and 200 meter dash. At the State meet, she placed 7th, 8th, & 7th respectively in the 3 events. Sandy set 4 CHS track records, one of which still stands - the 200 meter dash with a time of 25.8 seconds. Sandy attended Heidelberg University, participating in track and volleyball. While at CHS, Sandy also played volleyball & basketball for 4 years, was a member of the marching band & Columbia concert band, & a member of the National Honor Society. Currently, Sandy is an Earth Science & Forensics teacher at Orange High School
