2018 1988 Softball | Volleyball

Becky was a multi-sport athlete at Columbia High School, earning 11 Varsity letters.She was the Varsity catcher for four years. As a Junior, she earned 1st Team All County and 2nd Team All Ohio. As a Senior, Becky was selected Inland Conference 1st Team, 1st Team Lorain County, CHS MVP, and Most Valuable Playerof the Inland Conference. She played in the Lorain County Senior All Star Game. Becky was also selected as an Ohio Scholar Athlete and was named Inland Conference Female Scholar Athlete two years in a row. Becky helped lead the Raiders softball team to back to back Inland Conference Championships in '87 and '88. She was a co-captain & finished her high school softball career with a .500 batting average. On the volleyball court, Becky was the Varsity setter and in one match, had 95 assists. She was selected to the All District Academic Team, played in the Lorain County All Star Game, and was Inland Conference MVP. Becky also played basketball, lettering three years. Becky was a member of the National Honor Society, Pep Club, served on the District Academic Team, and was Vice President of her class all four years. She continued her academic and athletic education at Youngstown State University, playing catcher and outfielder on a softball scholarship. Becky coached JV volleyball and Varsity softball for CHS and was a volunteer coach for the CHS boys volleyball team for two years. Becky resides in North Ridgeville. She has been teaching for 25 years and currently teaches 4th grade math at Columbia Middle School.
