Heather was a multiple sport scholar-athlete, plahing 4 yerars of basketball, volleyball, and softball, 2 years of soccer (1 boys, 1 girls), 2 years of track, and 1 year of cross country (individual & "5th man" on Boys team). She earned 11 Varsity letters and was Co-Salutatorian for her class. Heather earned 1st Team County & 2nd Team Conference basketball honors, as well as All Greater Cleveland Soccer League Honorable Mention. In softball, she played Centerfield and Catcher, was 1st Team MAC-8 Conference, Lorain County, & District for 2 years, earned the Big Stick Award with a .462 batting average, had 26 stolen bases, & was part of the 2000 MAC-8 Championship Team. She was the 2000 Lorain County Co-Player of the Year, played in the All-Ohio Underclass All-Star Tournament, & in the Lorain County & District Senior All Star Games. In 2001, Heather was selected by the National High School Athletic Coaches Association for the U.S. Navy Scholastic All-America Softball District Team & the Second National Team, with recognition in ESPN Magazine. She was the 2001 Lorain County Female Athlete of the Year. She played softball at Lorain County Community College & was a volunteer coach for CHS Girls Basketball.
