Kenny played football and basketball during high school. He was the Boys Basketball Team manager his senior year. Kenny attended Kent State University and received a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in 1980. He coached the Columbia Freshman Boys Basketball Team, as well as the Freshman and JV Baseball Teams. For over 50 years, he played, coached or umpired for the Columbia Hot Stove Baseball League. Sports were always a big part of his life. Kenny was very passionate about the Raiders teams. He could talk to anyone about Columbia sports and quote stats about the teams. Kenny could be considered the ultimate Raiders fan. Kenny was a co-founder of the Columbia Athletic Hall of Fame and was the chairman since its inception in 2014. Sadly, Kenny is no longer with us. He passed away on Dec. 21, 2023 due to cancer complications.
