Grayson Fincham

Grayson Fincham serves as the Head Coach of the Apex High School Junior Varsity Boys Basketball program, bringing a relationship-driven and detail-oriented approach to player development. A native of Hinesville, Georgia, Coach Fincham grew up playing basketball, football, and baseball, experiences that help him connect with multi-sport athletes and understand different paths to success. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Education in Health and Physical Education from Georgia Southern University and is CPR and First Aid certified.

Coach Fincham’s leadership philosophy focuses on character, habits, and accountability. He believes strong daily habits matter more than short-term results and that attitude is a direct reflection of leadership within a program. His goal is to create an environment where players take pride in their effort, learn responsibility, and understand their role in the success of the team. Practice is the foundation of his program and where he believes the most meaningful growth occurs.

Coach Fincham brings broad coaching experience from his time in Statesboro, Georgia, where he coached multiple sports over five years, giving him a well-rounded perspective on athlete development. What he values most is the opportunity to build relationships with student-athletes and help them improve on and off the court. Outside of basketball, Coach Fincham enjoys spending time with his wife and dogs, following sports, and working around the house. His personal journey has shaped his resilience and perspective, reinforcing his belief in effort, adaptability, and perseverance.
