Coach Vigue believes coaching is a noble profession and sees it as a responsibility to give back to the sports that helped shape him. His coaching philosophy centers on accountability, discipline, and player ownership, with clear expectations for behavior, effort, and respect. He provides athletes with frequent opportunities to improve and challenges them to make the most of those opportunities, emphasizing responsibility to the team above the individual. His extensive knowledge of the game and passion for lacrosse are reflected in his continued communication with college coaches and commitment to refining his craft.

Coach Vigue has coached football and lacrosse at multiple levels, including high school, youth, club, and recreational programs, and has also served as a lacrosse official for several years. He was part of Apex’s lacrosse staff during STAR Championship seasons in 2013 and 2015, with the 2015 title standing out as a defining moment after the team upheld its standards in the face of adversity. Coach Vigue has a deep connection to Apex, with two sons who graduated from the school, and takes great pride in the support surrounding the program. Outside of coaching, he enjoys golfing and watching his son continue to play lacrosse. Apex is the only high school where he has coached lacrosse, reflecting his long-term commitment to the Cougar community.
