Grayson Fincham
Grayson Fincham serves as the Varsity Head Coach of the Apex High School Women’s Flag Football program, bringing energy, versatility, and a student-centered approach to a rapidly growing sport. Originally from Hinesville, Georgia, Coach Fincham played basketball, football, and baseball growing up, experiences that shaped his appreciation for multi-sport development and team dynamics. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Education in Health and Physical Education from Georgia Southern University and maintains CPR and First Aid certification.
Coach Fincham believes the character of the athletes ultimately defines the program. His philosophy centers on daily habits, accountability, and attitude, emphasizing that consistent behaviors lead to long-term success. He values strong leadership rooted in example and effort, creating an environment where athletes are challenged to grow, compete, and support one another. Practice is where he believes culture is built, and he takes pride in helping athletes improve every day.
Before joining Apex, Coach Fincham coached at a small school in Statesboro, Georgia, where he led multiple programs including football, basketball, softball, baseball, and soccer over five years. What he enjoys most about coaching is working with student-athletes and watching their confidence grow through preparation and teamwork. Outside of athletics, Coach Fincham enjoys anything sports-related, spending time with his wife and dogs, and working outdoors around the house.
