Taylor Hartley

Taylor Hartley serves as the Varsity Head STUNT Coach at Apex High School, leading one of the most consistently competitive programs in the state. With a background in cheerleading at the collegiate level and experience in every major role within the sport, Coach Hartley brings technical expertise, structure, and passion to the STUNT program. She holds a Master of Education in School Counseling from Liberty University and maintains certifications in cheer and dance safety, coaching fundamentals, and CPR/First Aid.

Coach Hartley approaches STUNT with a strong emphasis on preparation, trust, and team identity. She believes success in STUNT is built on discipline, communication, and athletes fully understanding their roles while supporting one another. Her leadership focuses on helping athletes grow in confidence and accountability while reinforcing that effort, attitude, and resilience define both individuals and teams. She places a high value on building unity across the entire cheer and STUNT program, ensuring athletes feel supported at every level.

The Apex STUNT program has experienced remarkable success under Coach Hartley’s leadership, including multiple state championships, conference titles, and playoff appearances every season since 2018. She has been recognized as SWAC STUNT Coach of the Year for her impact on the program and her athletes. Coach Hartley is most proud of the growth, perseverance, and relationships built within the team, especially during challenging moments that required strength beyond competition. Outside of athletics, she enjoys family time with her husband and daughters, traveling, and staying active in the community. Her daughters often attend practices, further reflecting the family-centered culture she fosters within the program.
