2022 Class 4A State Champions

Led by the duo of Kyle McLaughlin '23 (4th Place) and Matthew Smith '22 (5th Place and Samford University signee), the Chargers (Mclaughlin, Smith, Roger Smith '24 - 13th Place, Drew Kenney '24 - 16th Place, and Henry Hooten '22 - 19th Place) were able to cruise to their first State Championship since 2019, and their 6th out of the past eight eligible years (2020 was not played due to COVID-19).  The Chargers were ahead by more than 30 shots at the end of Day 1 and almost doubled that margin on their way to a  61-shot victory over the rest of the field.
