2023 Class 5A State Champions

22....better make it 23.  The 2023 version of Men's Tennis answered their 2022 counterparts by going back-to-back and claiming the sport's 23rd State Title.  As if that wasn't enough, Men's Tennis rounded up a 5-title spring for the Chargers and garnered the school's 100th State Championship, overall.  While there have been plenty of successful programs in Heritage Hall's history, it was fitting for Men's Tennis to capture the school's 100th gold.  With three individual titles and a 4th-place finish, the Chargers ran away with the title, though a few of the matches themselves were nailbiters. Harris Zeiders '26 and McLoud Buergler '25 battled to take the first set in their 2-Doubles finals before the lightning and rain delayed the championships for multiple hours.  Upon return, the momentum from the hard-earned first set carried the 2-Doubles to the State Title.  Next up was Larsen Van Horn '23, who was able to successfully defend his 1-Singles State Title in straight sets, dominating the field for a second-straight season.  The last State Title of the night came in 1-Doubles, as Gray Ferguson '24 and Emerson Ritenour '24 battled back and forth with Holland Hall, and found themselves in a 7th Set Tiebreak as light started to fade.  The tiebreak played as many points as possible, as the Charger duo prevailed 7-6.  Add in Owen Felrath '25 and his 4th-place finish in 1-Singles, and The Hall raised the trophy, yet again.
