2022 Class 3A State Champions

With an undefeated season and a final goal differential of 94-2, the 2022 Lady Chargers are one of the most dominant soccer teams in the history of Oklahoma high school soccer.  After knocking out defending state champion Verdigris, and ending their streak of championship game appearances, the Chargers turned their sights to the title bout against Victory Christian at Taft Stadium in Oklahoma City.  The game was a back-and-forth battle, resulting in a 0-0 score, until Katerina Chrysant '24 stepped up to hit a free-kick just outside the left side of the box with 9:17 left in the first half.  She proceeded to place that kick into the right upper-90 and started a scoring barrage over the next 6 minutes and 33 seconds.  The next two goals came from two more free-kicks, one each from Katerina Chrysant '24 (just outside the box and straight-on, placed in the lower-left of the goal) and Posey Thomas '23 (just outside the right side of the box and placed into the left upper-90).  After a Victory Christian goal with just-under 20 minutes left in the game, the Chargers tightened up their defense and held on for the title!
