Kevin Terry has spent his life serving and protecting his community through decades of public service. Following his graduation from Colonie Central High School in 1990, Terry attended the University of Albany and Schenectady County Community College. 

Terry is a Criminal Investigator for the NYS Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs and has been a member of the Fuller Road Fire Department for more than 30 years. 

Before that, he spent over 20 years with the Town of Colonie Police Department. He also spent several years working for the Department of State as a liaison to the NYS Urban/Technical Search and Rescue Team. That role became crucial when Terry and his wife were deployed to Ground Zero following the September 11 terror attacks. Their operation worked 24 hours a day from the evening of September 11 until September 25.   

Beyond emergency services, Terry has shared his knowledge with the next generation through educational presentations on internet safety to Colonie students.
