Colonie Class of 1975 graduate, athlete, teacher, and longtime coach, Tom Greene built one of the Capital Region’s premier track & field and cross-country programs. Since returning to Colonie in 1989, he guided 111 athletes to the NYS Championships, 45 to Nationals, and 17 to the Federation Meet, with school records in 21 of 24 events.A mentor to generations of student-athletes, Greene has also served as co-meet director of the Colonie Relays, NYS track official, Section 2 Boys Cross-Country Coordinator, and board member of the Greater Capital Region Track & Field Hall of Fame. His lifelong dedication continues to inspire the Colonie community.
