Kim Halburian has been a police officer with the Metro Dade Police Narcotics Division in Florida and received the “Officer of the Year” award in 1996 by the Dade County Police Officers Assistant Trust.

He received his department’s “Exceptional Service Award.” The Police Officers Trust Fund provides financial assistance beyond that of health insurance policies for law enforcement personnel and their families throughout Dade County. 

An avid fundraiser, earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Rochester Institute of Technology. After college he served with the Rochester police force and later as a police officer in Vermont.
