A proud Colonie native, Matt Tarullo grew up in a hardworking home where academics and athletics were central to his life. At Colonie, he was a High School All-American, achieving an undefeated season and winning the New York State Wrestling Championship in 2000. At Syracuse University, Matt excelled as a full scholarship athlete and team captain, leading the Orange to the 2004 Big East Championship. He was recognized as an Academic All-American, earned the Joe Alexander Award, and was named Scholar-Athlete of the Insight.com Bowl.Following college, Matt joined the NFL, where he was coached by Bill Parcells and Tony Sparano with the Dallas Cowboys. He retired after three seasons in Dallas. Matt’s legacy is celebrated through inductions into the Section II Football Hall of Fame, the Colonie Wrestling Hall of Fame, and the Capital Region Hall of Fame. He also serves on the Syracuse Executive Board for NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness).
