Harold “Pep” Sand served this community for more than 30years as a guidance counselor, coach and involved citizen. Hebegan his coaching career at the high school in 1957. Pep wasinvolved in football, track and varsity basketball at Colonie.Pep guided the Raiders Boys Basketball program to 5 consecutiveSuburban Council Championships and he led the 1970-1971 team to the Section II Class AA championship. Pep guided the Raiders to another Suburban Council championship in 1976. Pep was inducted into the Colonie Athletics Hall of Fame in 2021.
