Joseph Tassarotti is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at New York University. He received his Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University and his undergraduate degree from Harvard College. 

Tassarotti’s research focuses on various aspects of computer science including programming languages, and computer systems. He has received several awards, including an NSF CAREER Award and an Amazon Research Award.

Tassarotti was an academic standout at Colonie Central High School.A National Merit Scholar Award winner, he was a triple accelerated math student and during his junior year completed the highest level of mathematics at the University of Albany.
