Kristine Sudano excelled at soccer and field hockey during her time at Rye Neck, but it was her play on the field hockey pitch that made her a force to be reckoned with. A two-time all-league and all-section player, Sudano captained her team to both league and sectional titles.
Called a βgamerβ by former athletic director Al Hubschman, Sudano also brought her talents to the Hudson Valley squad of the Empire State games where she scored the championship winning goal earning her team the gold medal. For these exploits her senior year, Sudano was awarded the Con-Ed award.
She continued her playing career at American University where she was a four year starter who made an immediate impact and was honored as freshman athlete of the year.
