2015 2002 Soccer Athlete

A graduate of the class of 2002, Brian made his mark on the soccer field. A member of the varsity team for five years, Brian contributed consistently to Rye Neck’s run at league and sectional titles, including garnering a sectional crown his sophomore year.  Brian was one of the most formidable athletes in Section 1. The four-time all-league, two-time all-section and all-state player was a dominant force on the playing field, a scoring threat no matter who the opponent was.

Brian culminated his senior year by becoming the Rye Neck all-time scoring record holder with 120 goals, which he accomplished during a five year span on the varsity team. A title he still holds today. Mazza finished his five-year varsity career totaling 304 career points.  He was named league MVP for two years running and was Westchester County player of the year after earning a place on the Gannett Newspaper 1st team for the second consecutive year.
