Diana DiLallo, a Class of 1996 graduate, was an ace pitcher on the softball field. DiLallo broke many school records and still holds one to this day. She was so dominant, that by the time DiLallo finished her playing career at Rye Neck, she had set and held every pitching record at Rye Neck in both the career and season categories. Still a record to this day, DiLallo broke the school record for most strikeouts in a single game when she recorded 17 strikeouts during a game in 1995. DiLallo threw nine career one hitters and seven career no hitters, which was a school record held by DiLallo until it was broken by Jessica Calvini in 2012. Her dominant pitching allowed her to earn her 50th career win on June 2nd, 1996 during her senior year. DiLallo led the Panthers as Team Captain for three seasons.
For her efforts on the softball field, DiLallo received many prestigious awards and titles. DiLallo was a four-time All-League Player, named to the All-State First Team ‘96, a three-time All-Section Player, three-time Rye Neck MVP, a ConEd Award recipient, and named to the Gannett First Team in 1996.
