1986 Basketball Athlete

Ryan Schoenfeld, a Class of 1986 graduate, could often be found on the basketball court during his time at Rye Neck. Schoenfeld was a standout basketball player for the Panthers and is a member of a very small group of players who are in the 1,000 point scorers club. Schoenfeld scored 1,206 career points for the Rye Neck Panthers. 608 of those career points came within a single season, which led Section 1 in scoring that season. During his career, Schoenfeld collected 910 career rebounds. Schoenfeld holds the school record for most blocked shots in a single season with 126 blocks. Schoenfeld was  named Team Captain during his senior campaign in 1986. 

For his achievements on the basketball court, Schoenfeld was named two-time All-League, All-County, All-Section, All-State, a ConEd Award recipient, MVP of the Section 1 Tournament, Conference and League MVP, and the MVP of the Rye Basketball Tournament.
